How we get the personal information and why we have it
All the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you when you include your email address in a message to us and ask to be added to our email list.
We use the information that you have given us in order to inform you about upcoming events and membership status and other pertinent communications related to the Club.
We may share this information with Committee members of the Cranborne Chase Astronomy Club only. We will never share your information with anyone outside the Committee of the Club.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting info@cranbornechaseastro.club. You don’t need to provide a reason, and we will remove you immediately.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored in an email list service, currently Intuit MailChimp.
We keep your name and email address with MailChimp until such time as you tell us otherwise, or for a maximum of 12 months (until the next Club year when a new membership list is generated). We will then dispose your information by removing it from the email service we use.
