Welcome to the Cranborne Chase Astronomy Club website. 

We hope it is not only informative but will encourage you to become a member of the Club and join in our programmes and activities.

The aim of the Club is to bring together people who have an interest in astronomy, whether you’re new to the field, a telescope or binocular user who wants to see and learn more, or someone who just likes to chat with others and attend talks to learn more about the night sky.  

On the website you’ll find our programme of talks (see the button below or the link at the top right) which take place once a month at Charlton New Remembrance Hall, alternating every two months or so with observing sessions using members’ telescopes and sharing what we have been able to observe. There are also photos, sketches, commentary and notice of astronomical events coming up like comets and eclipses.

We link in, too, with other astronomical clubs and activities in the area.
